In the Hollow of the White Sycamore is my summer project for 2020! It features the chaotic journey of a boy who discovers a world filled with magical squirrels who are seen as demons! It takes place in the magical world called Skoradazar and in North Texas’s very own University of North Texas.

In the hollow of a white sycamore on a university campus is a portal that connects to a world called Skoradazar. In this world where the sky is always teal, the friendly creatures that we know as squirrels are called furresh, and Skoradazar’s inhabitants say they are demonic creatures that can kill humans just by glancing at them. All that prevents humanity’s extinction is a fence that is able to repel the furresh.Kevin, a squirrel fanatic, is brought to Skoradazar by his campus’s legendary albino squirrel. After meeting a girl of the foreign world named Bien, he learns of the history of the furresh. The more that Kevin learns, the closer he comes to being forced to make a fateful decision: Who are the rightful rulers of the world? Humans? Or furresh?
